  • ​Holds two music degrees from two prestigious music       schools – a Masters in Voice Performance degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, and a Bachelors in Voice Performance degree from The University of Toronto (also known as "The Juilliard of Canada")

  • Has over eight years of experience in teaching private and group lessons for advanced voice, intermediate piano, intermediate ukulele, and beginner guitar to students of all ages and abilities

  • Creates specialized lesson plans and innovative activities  for neurodivergent students, and students with behavioral needs 

  • Extensive performance background that has led her to perform on stages in Canada, Rome, and Chicago, and has allowed her to thrive in preparing her young advanced voice students for performances and competitive auditions

  • Her students have won placements in prestigious programs such as Interlochen Center for the Arts, and ChiArts

  • Experienced in developing general music and theatre programs at schools such as Northside Catholic Academy, Audubon Elementary School, and Jahn Elementary School. 

  • Has spearheaded Group Ukulele Classes, Theatre Camps, and Rock Band Camps to students of all ages

  •  Holds a dual Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance: Voice, and Violin from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse

  • Served as Concertmaster, Principal 2nd Violinist, and Soprano section leader for five years at University of Wisconsin- La Cross

  • Over 25 years performing as a vocalist and violinist:

    • Vocalist in Les Miserables, High School Musical, West Side Story, Once Upon a Mattress,  etc.

    • Violinist in the orchestra for Les Miserables, Into the Woods, Young Frankenstein, Seussical, Little Women the Musical, etc.

  • Two years experience teaching private beginner strings

  • Facilitated many professional performances by stage managing shows such as Lyric Unlimited at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant Park Music Festival, Haymarket Opera Company, Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, DePaul Opera Theatre, Chicago Fringe Opera, Third Eye Theatre Ensemble, etc.

  • Advanced violinist in Chicago City-Wide Symphony Orchestra

  • Enthusiastic cosplayer with a closet full of Star Wars, and historical costumes made by hand

  • Recently earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Vocal Performance from the Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University. 

  • Currently pursuing a Master of Vocal Performance at DePaul University on a performance scholarship 

  • Current Soprano Staff Singer and Section Leader at St. Clement’s Parish 

  • Extensive performance experience with: Chicago Summer Opera, Opera Naples, First Presbyterian Church of Naples, and the Bower School of Music Opera Theatre. 

  • Has managed a vocal and piano studio with over 25 students of all ages and experience for over a year. 

  • Has also trained in jazz with Carmen Bradford  and has performed with FGCU’s Top Flight Jazz Combo as a featured vocalist for 4 years—this group performed with names like Benny Benack III and Laila Biali. 

  • Recently moved to Chicago after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus on piano from the Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University

  • Obtained a minor in Creative Writing to assist their passion for songwriting

  • Experienced in multiple genres of music, especially jazz piano, with which Mason has performed regularly all across Southwest Florida—in his own groups and alongside prominent musicians like Benny Benack III, Robert Pilon, and Laila Biali

  • Loves to perform collaborative music of all kinds but especially vocal jazz, classical, and musical theatre

  • Passionate about teaching music to children of all ages and musical interests.

  • Recently worked as a staff singer in the choir at Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church and hopes to continue singing in Chicago

  • Enjoys composing original music that draws from various genres such as jazz, folk, minimalism, and others

  • As an instructor, Mason hopes to pass on all that they’ve learned to student musicians of all ages and backgrounds

  • Mason strives to be a better musician and human every day and believes that music has the power to help people grow into more empathetic, kind, and confident versions of themselves
